from 13 reviewsEnjoyed the night and Daniel explained everything very well. Would recommend doing the course if you get the chance.
I recently participated in the astrophotography course with Daniel at Denman. The theory was easy to understand and Daniel was more than willing to help everyone with any questions and showing us what was needed. Despite being a course for beginners, I recommend having a full frame camera and the right lens to make the most of the experience. The practical experience was mind blowing! I did not expect to see the results that we got.
I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is interested in learning or exploring how to use their camera in new ways.
I ordered the polar aligner bracket and recieved it within a week, it is of great build quality and fits right onto the star adventurer wedge with no issues as if it was made by skywatcher themselves. It holds my phone well and allows me to work through the polar alignment process much faster than without the bracket. I'm finally able to make finely tuned adjustments to heading on my tripod with this tool. 10/10 great product
Dan was an amazing teacher. He explained every step of the process in a way which was easy to understand for a total newbie as myself. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in astrophotography to do course with Dan.
Outstanding introduction to the night sky and all the beauty of the Milky Way. Expert tuition and appropriately paced guidance taking a very straight forward approach. I obtained results that I was extremely happy with after just a couple of outings. The course manual and other materials and tips are invaluable.
Have been with Star Lords for a number of classes and have found Dan to be an excellent and knowledgeable teacher with loads of patience.
I can recommend anyone interested in Astro photography to go to one of Star Lords courses. I had so much fun while learning all things Milky Way, capture and final processing.
Looking forward to practicing the Milky Way season and doing more.
Did this course previously and learnt heaps, can thoroughly recommend this for all levels, very easy to follow and understand. Looking forward to doing more!
This was the first course that I did with Starlords, and it set me up to both go out by myself and to do further courses to extend my skills.
The instruction on the night took account of different cameras and experiences and I'm still referring back to the "Sleepless Nights" manual.
Great tutor. Looking forward to it. Have previously been
Great course for absolutely beginners. I didn't even know how to put my camera into manual and managed to get some great shots. Easy and clear instruction and support after the course. Couldn't recommend Dan enough as an instructor.
Im a super novus & felt really nervous. No need to worry he's such a great guy & full of information.
Thoroughly enjoyed my night. I learned so much.
Having no experience in Astrophotography Dan’s lessons were easily to understand. He takes the time to explain the set up of the camera and how to focus and even has tricks up his sleeve when focusing on the stars is really difficult. He’s really helpful and he’s also easy to approach if you have any questions. I find it really hard to ask questions but there’s no problem to big or small to get solved. I strongly recommend Dan and I’ve even been to two of his beginners courses because I’m not a confident person and a bit of a slow learner and that’s what I love about his courses. I actually like doing the courses because it’s fun just to go out and be with others like minded people every once in a while.
